What is FUE Hair Transplant?

FUE hair transplant, also known as Follicular Unit Extraction, is a modern and minimally invasive procedure designed to address hair loss and restore a natural-looking head of hair. This technique involves the individual extraction of hair follicles from the donor area, typically located at the back or sides of the scalp. These healthy follicles are then carefully implanted into areas experiencing hair loss, resulting in a fuller and more vibrant appearance.

What is the Difference Between FUE Hair Transplant and FUT?

One significant benefit of the FUE hair transplant technique is its ability to achieve natural-looking results. In contrast to traditional methods such as FUT, which requires the removal of a strip of scalp and often results in a noticeable scar, FUE involves extracting individual follicles, leading to less visible scarring. Each follicle is meticulously extracted with specialized tools, leaving only tiny scars that are virtually undetectable to the naked eye. This ensures a natural outcome.

FUE offers a shorter recovery time and minimal post-procedure discomfort. Patients can expect a faster healing process, allowing them to resume their daily activities with ease. Whether you’re dealing with receding hairlines, thinning hair, or bald patches, FUE hair transplant presents a viable solution that combines effectiveness, convenience, and natural-looking results.

Why is FUE Hair Transplant so popular?

The popularity of FUE is driven by advancements in punch technology, which significantly reduce scarring. This technology involves extracting hair follicles from a donor area with minimal tissue damage, ensuring healthier grafts and higher success rates in transplantation. FUE’s precise and less invasive approach makes it a preferred choice for many seeking effective hair restoration solutions.

Your Consultation

Before your treatment, schedule a one-on-one consultation with our hair restoration doctor for us to identify your current condition, understand your unique concerns and determine if you are a candidate for hair transplant treatment.

During Your Treatment

On the day of surgery, your hair will be shaved and disinfected. Local anesthetic will then be administered to ensure treatment is as comfortable as possible. Grafts will then be harvested from donor site with follicles separated, counted and stored before implanting the grafts on the recipient site.

After Your Treatment

You may experience slight swelling and redness post-transplant that may take 2-3 days to recover and up to a week for your hair to look socially acceptable. Our team will brief you on specific things to avoid to encourage recovery and prevent grafts from dislodging in the first week post-treatment.
